In add-ons & fees that can be challenged
Documentation fees, admin charges, nitrogen, etching, protection packages and dealer add-ons. Some are legitimate — many are negotiable or optional. We flag every line before you sign.
CarWise Advisory sits on your side of the desk. Tell us your budget and needs — we shortlist the right cars, negotiate with 3–5 dealerships for you, and check every line of the paperwork. That saves you hours of visiting dealerships, waiting around for test drives, and being talked into a car you never intended to buy. You only show up for the test drive and the final decision — at the best price we can secure.
New to BC or Canada? You’re who this was built for. Most newcomers are left guessing how and where to buy a car here, whether to lease or finance, and what their credit even allows. We explain all of it in plain language — and uncover every fee, incentive and detail dealers assume you already know, before you sign anything.
It’s not just the price of the car. It’s the hours, the pressure, and the fees that appear at the signing desk — when you’re least likely to walk away.
Documentation fees, admin charges, nitrogen, etching, protection packages and dealer add-ons. Some are legitimate — many are negotiable or optional. We flag every line before you sign.
Driving from dealership to dealership, waiting around for test drives, sitting through pitches for cars you didn’t come in for, and going back and forth on price, trade-in and financing. We take all of that off your calendar.
One dealer has no reason to give you their best price. When the same spec is quoted by several dealers in writing, the out-the-door number moves — that’s how you get the best price available, not the first price you’re offered. That’s the whole system.
Buying a car the usual way means hours spent visiting dealerships, waiting on test drives, and listening to a salesperson steer you toward the car they need to move — not the one you came for. With CarWise, we do the dealership rounds for you. Your only trip is one test drive in the car you actually chose, at a price already negotiated.
Because 3–5 dealerships quote the same car against each other in writing, you don’t pay the first price you’re offered — you get the best price available on it, as a full out-the-door number with taxes and fees included. Every quote is shown to you, so the saving is documented, not promised.
CarWise takes no commission, referral fee, or kickback from any dealership — ever. The only money we make is the flat fee you pay us, agreed in advance. That’s it. No dealer pays us, no brand pays us, and nothing about your deal changes what we earn.
So our only goal is your interest: the right car for your budget and needs, at the best price we can secure. We always stand with the client — in the negotiation, at the paperwork check, and if a deal isn’t right for you, we’ll tell you to walk away. We don’t want to sell you anything to earn a commission. We want to serve you.
Four steps, usually 5–10 days from first call to test drive. You’re never handed a done deal — you approve the shortlist, the target price, and the final paperwork.
15–30 minutes on your needs, budget, must-haves, trade-in, financing, and timeline. New car, used, EV, family SUV — we start from how you actually drive.
Free intro • No obligationYou get a shortlist of 3–5 specific cars with a true out-the-door comparison — BC taxes, fees, incentives and total cost, not just monthly payments.
You approve the shortlistWe contact 3–5 dealerships, get written out-the-door quotes on the same spec, and play them against each other. You see every quote — nothing is hidden.
Written quotes onlyYou test drive the winning car. Before you sign, we review the final bill of sale line by line for surprise fees or changed terms. The purchase stays directly between you and the licensed dealer.
You sign — only when it’s cleanDealership staff are paid by the dealership. Pricing sites sell you a report and leave you alone at the desk. CarWise is paid only by you, for one job: get you the right car at a fair, documented price.
This service is built especially for you. Most newcomers suffer most from what nobody explains: how and where to buy a car here, whether to lease or finance, what your credit situation allows, and which fees and incentives even exist. We walk you through the whole process step by step — ICBC insurance, BC PST tiers, paperwork, all of it — and uncover the details dealers assume you already know, in plain language.
You don’t have three weekends to spend in showrooms. Send your brief once, review a clean shortlist, and show up only for the test drive on the car that already has a negotiated price.
If you hate negotiating or worry you’ll be talked into the wrong car, that’s exactly the gap we fill. Calm, documented, and you can walk away at any step — we work for you.
Buying two vehicles or twenty, the dealership math changes — and so should your price. We spec the right vehicles for the work, get written quotes from several dealers with manufacturer fleet incentives stacked in, and negotiate the batch as one deal. You approve every quote, and each vehicle is purchased directly from a licensed BC dealer, same as an individual buy.
After delivery, we stay on as your fleet desk: tracking service and maintenance schedules, insurance and registration renewals, and total running cost per vehicle — and flagging the right moment to repair, replace or sell, then handling the replacement purchase the same negotiated way. One point of contact instead of a spreadsheet nobody owns.
That’s the point. If a dealer paid us, we’d work for the dealer. Intro call is always free — you only pay when you decide to engage us on a search.
For buyers who will shop themselves but want a plan first.
The complete done-for-you service, start to test drive.
For $75K+ purchases, luxury tax, and complex EV / incentive cases.
Fees are for advisory services only. You pay the dealership directly for the vehicle — CarWise never holds your car money, takes title, or signs the purchase on your behalf. If we can’t find a suitable car at a price you approve, you don’t proceed to purchase.
Buying for a business? Fleet purchase and ongoing fleet management are quoted per engagement, based on fleet size and how much management you want handed over — tell us about your fleet on the free intro call and we’ll price it plainly, the same flat-fee way.
BC car taxes surprise almost every buyer. Enter a price to see GST, the BC PST tier for passenger vehicles, and — over $100,000 — the federal luxury tax estimate.
For a new passenger vehicle bought in BC. Used-vehicle and private-sale rules differ — we’ll walk through your exact case on the intro call.
💡 This is where negotiation matters: doc fees and add-ons are taxed too, and they’re the easiest place for a quote to quietly grow between the email and the signing desk.
BC PST on passenger vehicles: 7% under $55,000, rising by tier to 10% at $57,000–$124,999, 15% at $125,000–$149,999 and 20% at $150,000+. GST is 5%. Federal luxury tax applies on vehicles over $100,000 (lesser of 20% of the amount over $100K or 10% of the full price, before GST/PST on that tax). Estimate only — final tax is set on your bill of sale.
Most overpaying doesn’t happen on the car — it happens in the last 20 minutes. We compare your final bill of sale against the negotiated quote, line by line.
CarWise Advisory was founded in Vancouver by Hamzeh, whose background is in finance and operations — corporate actions across multiple portfolios, high-volume payment operations, and compliance checking where a single missed line has real cost.
That’s the same skill a car purchase needs: compare competing quotes properly, spot the fee that shouldn’t be there, and don’t sign until the numbers match what was promised. CarWise brings that discipline to the dealership — on the buyer’s side only.
“You’ll see every quote we get, you’ll approve every step, and you’ll know exactly what you saved compared to the best price you could get on your own.”
CarWise Advisory is an independent buyer advisory service. It is not a motor dealer and does not sell vehicles. All vehicle purchases are completed directly between the buyer and a licensed BC dealership.

I help car buyers — especially newcomers to BC, busy professionals, and first-time buyers — find the right vehicle for their budget and needs without the dealership pressure. Clients save the hours they'd otherwise spend visiting dealerships, waiting on test drives, and being steered toward cars they didn't intend to buy: I research and shortlist vehicles, obtain written out-the-door quotes from 3–5 dealerships so buyers get the best price available, negotiate on the buyer's behalf, and audit the final bill of sale for hidden fees and add-ons before they sign. The buyer's only dealership visit is the test drive. CarWise is paid only by the buyer on a flat-fee basis and receives no commissions from dealerships — our fee is our only income, so our only goal is the client's interest, and we always stand with the client. The vehicle purchase itself is completed directly between the buyer and a licensed BC dealership.
